Quote of the Day

I love this. So correct. I know that I tend to use Richard Dawkins alot on this blog, but he is one of the most outspoken people out there. And he is so dead on. Here it is;

It is fashionable to wax apocalyptic about the threat to humanity posed by the AIDS virus, "mad cow" disease, and many others, but I think a case can be made that faith is one of the world's great evils, comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to eradicate.
-- Richard Dawkins, The Humanist, Vol. 57, No. 1

  1. Yes, and this coming back to the article that I posted about the church finally admitting that they had wronged the native population. The more that I blog and research, the more that I tend to adopt this position. Religion and faith is the most destructive threat to all humans.

  2. Faith acted almost kinda like some strange type of genocide in a way in amongst my family and friends anyway,not many survived escaping so very well allmost everyone still deals with plenty of scars.To try to even dare to leave the chains of the cult at all, spelled a need of then being culturally exterminated from your original family life as well.

    Im glad people like Richard Dawkins dont piss around mincing to many words when discussing the curse religion has been.

  3. Yes.... I am so sorry to hear of that. That is what makes religion and faith so scary. And, they usually do it for money, etc.

    Me too. He is poignant. The world needs to hear it more.
