About Me And My Blog

I have no delusions or claims about who I am. I am simply a normal person who has chosen to live my free of both religion and a sense of God. The fact that I have chosen to identify as being atheist does not denote me as being any type of theologian expert or evolutionary scientist. In fact, I offer nothing to this debate. All that I have to contribute are my personal experiences and observations.

At times, this has not been an easy choice for me. I have to experiences life's challenges and tragedies without a sense of higher purpose. However, I still feel as though I have made the right personal choice for me and my life.

If a person has faith, that is good. Keep it to yourself, and lead a good life. However, when people use their faith to deny others basic civil rights, manipulate scripture to justify intolerance and prejudice toward minority groups, and dictate what public schools should teach in the curriculum, I have a problem.

This blog was created for two main reasons. First, to provide me with a visual catalogue of the many contextual reasons as to why I choose to live without faith. Secondly, to encourage an exchange of critical and constructive dialogue between many different people.
